The Plant People’s Landscape teams specialise in sub-division development including specimen tree planting, reserve development, stormwater ponds and wetlandsand re-vegetation areas. We are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all hard and soft landscaping projects for a variety of clients, including civil works and development, commercial builds, Councils and private residential builds.
Our Auckland team has been working hard across the region recently, from Maraetai in the south to Long Bay in the north. Here we have compiled a snapshot of some of the projects we’ve had underway.
Part 1
In this Part 1 of a two-part series, we’ll post works covering landscaping and weed control, while Part 2 will feature our contributions to a number of stormwater pondsas well as a stream diversion for Oakley Creek.
Kensington Park, Orewa (Building 18)
For Woodview Construction: Our crew built a keystone wall to prevent water flowing back into building. The planting of tree species and design was based on a concept provided by Gaynor Revill Design. The photos show the space before and after the works.
Remote Location Weed Control
For Auckland Council: Located in Auckland’s beautiful west coast is an area of covenanted land at Bethells Beach. The scope of works was to control Gorse, Pampas and Aristea in the surrounding the Bethells Homestead, from the lake to the tops of the cliffs above the beach. Year 1 involved an initial control period spanning three weeks, followed by one week of follow up. This process is to be repeated in Year 2.
Residential Landscaping
The Plant People are capable of working on large-scale commercial land developments and Council contracts, yet have the flexibility to complete smaller-scale landscaping projects for residential customers. Check out this recent Auckland example…
