Planting a new business, or planting flax bushes… it’s all in a day’s work for the staff of BNZ Partners at the Highbrook Business Centre.
BNZ branches right across the country closed their doors for the day, as part of the bank’s recent annual “Closed for Good” day.
This is the day on which BNZ volunteer their services to their local communities.
Some 15 staff from BNZ Highbrook spent the day at Beachlands School where they were put to work planting some 200-300 trees donated to the school by The Plant People; creating a Sensory Garden for the junior school, erecting some signs; tidying up the school’s propagation shed; creating fern gardens, weeding the Kaiawi gardens and so on.
For the school, it was the opportunity to get some valuable work around the grounds and for the BNZ staffers it was a day out of the office for some team building.
