The Plant People have often been called big kids working with their big toys but this is not an exercise in building castles with moats!! There are times when the South Island weather just does not co-operate as it dumps heavy rain, produces heavy frosts and even a little sleet – but that does not stop The Plant People.
What may look like the foundations for a castle with moat is actually our Civil team laying the foundations for the stone wall at the Oakfields subdivision. Looking at the plans, the entrance feature to Oakfields could certainly be fit for a castle but that is not what our team is doing today – maybe tomorrow 🙂
Our Civil team know how to work with the elements to ensure the integrity of their work. There have been days when the planned activities could not continue due to the danger of weather impacting on the materials, however our skilled team have kept to schedule and also managed to keep dry from the worst of our winter weather.
