The Sir Richard Hadlee Sports Trust Charity Golf Day 2016 was recently held on the Pegsus golf course, with proceeds furthering the Trust’s endeavours to raise funds to assist individuals under 25 who are in hardship or in need of assistance to further their various sporting and cultural pursuits.
The Plant People supported this charity event by entering a couple of the event’s 22 teams, as well as sponsoring a hole.
It was a fantastic day: the weather was smiling on us all and the event raised significant funds for SRHST. The Plant People were proud to be part of it.
The feedback from those who participated was extremely positive with 10 teams already indicating their interest in next year’s tournament.
The Sir Richard Hadlee Sports Trust is a non-profit charitable trust established by Sir Richard Hadlee in August 1990, immediately after his retirement from a professional cricketing career. The trust plays an important role in the community by assisting young Cantabrians where hardship prevents them from fulfilling their cultural or sporting endeavours.
